I went all winter long without a sniffle and now that spring is around the corner, I've gotten a terrible cold. It's going to be cold, rainy weekend so I'm stocking up on chicken soup, wrapping myself up in a nice, warm quilt and I'm going to enjoy my Nyquil buzz.
Please enjoy these beautiful African-American quilts while I recuperate. I always hated quilts until I discovered these. They're great abstract art! I have a lot more images so maybe I'll share some more over the weekend.
Do you love?
So sorry you're not feeling well. This will be a good time to curl up with hot tea and dream about what else to do with your living room ~
ReplyDeleteI'm not the biggest fan of quilts but I do appreciate the hard work that goes into making one. They are typically too colorful and busy for me but I'd love to have one for sick days and cold days or movie night. I would probably tuck it away though in my blanket chest.
I have seen lots of photos of homes though that showcase very beautiful ones. Not hanging or draping anywhere but casually folded and sitting on a trunk or under a smaller table.
Feel better!

Aw, so sorry you are feeling sick. Spring colds are the worst! Love the quilts. A little too loud for my taste but my sister would be all over them like a buzzard on a poop cart!
ReplyDeleteHere is to feeling better soon!
They do look like art. Pretty nice.
ReplyDeleteTake care & feel better.

I'm new to your blog but had to comment. I have my great great grandmothers patchwork quilt and never really liked the look of it all the much until recently - I love all the colors, textures, and imperfections! Beautiful blog!
