All's well in this neck of the woods..
...just a few downed trees, localized power outages, missing shingles,
some wind-whipped flowers and a mess of wet leaves glued to sidewalks and streets.
Thank you for your well-wishes.
Thoughts, prayers and money should
go to the poor people in the NYC and NJ areas.
Glad that you are okay. Prayers for NJ and NY.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are fine. And yes, we should all focus on those who've had it so rough. Just heartbreaking.
ReplyDeleteWe lost a few people due to downed trees, but we have not near the damage to the landscape as NJ and NY. It was a horrible, horrible storm that is still going strong in other areas. Hopefully we will not have another like that again.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear all is well with you. The pictures coming out of NY and NJ break my heart. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read you weathered the storm, Steve. The images out of NY, NJ, and CT are tragic. I was born in Queens, NY, and raised in New Jersey and my heart goes out to the folks there.

Glad to hear you are ok. That is one wind-whipped plant. Scary stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
ReplyDeleteI just read a post from a friend in Connecticut that she's safe.
Got an email from one in Maryland.
Now a post from you.
Three down and one more to go! (hoping she's just without power and that she's safe.)
Sending out good thoughts and prayers to everyone hit by the storm.
(so glad that you are OK.)

Isn't it incredible to have so many people from around the world worried about us in the path of the storm?
ReplyDeleteBloggers are very lucky people.

ReplyDeleteGlad you are one of the lucky ones in the East!!!
ReplyDeleteYay! So glad to hear...I have a Bro on the NJ shore...getting blow by blow pics. They are safe But...oh. Just oh.

Glad that you are okay! I hope the cats were not too frightened.
ReplyDeleteWhat a mess in NY and NJ. I feel so sorry for them. My daughters boyfriends family live 3 1/2 miles from Point Pleasant Beach NJ. Their neighborhood is a mess.
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you are ok. Was it a frightening storm where you are? It seemed to cover such a large area.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that all is well by you, Steve.
ReplyDeleteI have an Aunt/Uncle in Oyster Bay/LI, and a nephew in Staten Island. We visited the city last year in time for Irene. We lucked out-she was nothing like this beast of a storm. My poor city...
I kind of like the windswept 'design' of those mums.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are well. I have been thinking of all my east coast friends and acquaintances and have yet to hear back from a friend in NJ but he is probably still without power (and likely busy with his flooded basement). xo Terri
ReplyDeleteso glad you are ok...donna
ReplyDeleteAlso glad you made it through. Sorry about the plant but it of course could be worse. Also glad to wake up today and hear NYC is getting power back.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the name of those mums? Their color is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteNot sure but I'll look to see if there's a tag in the pot.
