I'm finally feeling better after a cold that seemed to come and go for about month. I hope to get back to my normal life soon.
I saw this video yesterday (tweeted by Kevin of Lettered Cottage) and not only is it amazing, I think it's just very well done. Beautifully filmed and edited so you feel like you're along for the ride, it gives me chills every time I watch it...which is like 20 times. No kidding.
It is so amazing. I keep re-watching it too. Hope you're better soon.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh.....this cold sucks eggs. big time.
ReplyDeleteI do love that video though and good news (for me) today I felt better.
We are both very bad patients.

Makes me think that I spend too much time in my little routine world.
I need to step out of this box.
Steve, this is absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for posting it.
ReplyDeleteI've watched it over and over ~

ReplyDeletesteve - i am glad you are recovering. illness for that long can really drag you down. that video is chillingly beautiful. i have been the one in that canoe on the water many times and it is just like being there. surreal and an exhilarating moment.

ReplyDeleteSteve, That cold that seems to be going around is getting people left and right! I hope you're feeling better today.
ReplyDeleteI saw that video a little while back (I'm cutting edge like that, you know hahahaha!) and like you, I watched it dozens of times. Nature is so incredible, isn't she? You can tell those girls knew they'd just seen something awesome.
Steve,
ReplyDeleteYou could hear the awe in their voices. I woke up with the flu-this certainly made me appreciate the big scheme of things. Talk about teamwork!

My first thought was...whoa...not very profound, but very cool and very well done...I love the music they chose...truly amazing!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better.

As a kid in upstate New York, I can remember watching flocks of starlings flying about the sky as they gathered for their annual fall migration, but never anything like this. Truly incredible!
ReplyDeleteCheers,
John
stunning images and choreography!
ReplyDeleteglad you are on the mend, you have been missed

Oh my gosh that was amazing! I always love watching the blackbirds flying over fields during the winter - and the sound is so distinctive.
ReplyDeleteHoly Murmuration Steve. Thanks! You made me cry at 6 am- not easy!
ReplyDeleteWow! Wonderful!! I think my sister, Joan, needs to add a video. Don't you agree?
ReplyDeleteI just love your blog. I feel like I have a secret friend.
Hope you stay well.
That was so moving. Why can't we humans move together in harmony like they do?
ReplyDeleteThat was amazing, thank you for posting it! Like Einstein said, you can believe that everything is a miracle...
ReplyDeleteIt must have been eerily beautiful to witness that! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI'm speechless.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are feeling better.
Glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteI feel like I can fly...
O.M.G. Stunning! Thanks so much for sharing and I hope you get better.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the middle of the same cold. It's really dragging me down too.
ReplyDeleteI love this video. I saw it a few months ago and watched over and over. I'm going to watch it again - give me a little lift. Thanks. : )
Wasn't that a breath of fresh air!!! Awesome! Thank you for sharing. Made my day!
ReplyDeleteThank you!...way cool...smiles
ReplyDeleteThis is one of my favorite videos too! I've watched it several times and never get tired of it. Nature is so beautiful. It makes me sad to think of how many people today are disconnected from nature and the outdoors. It's nice to see these young people outside enjoying it.
ReplyDeleteClaudia
Wow! I needed this today. Thank you! :)
ReplyDeleteJust magical! I saw a smaller version of this the other day as I was driving into town. I thought it was puffs of smoke in the distance, but it was moving oddly. As I drove closer, I could see the puffs were flocks moving together. Just so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
Sandy
Dear Steve, I love everything about this video - the swallows are amazing, the music is beautiful and the girls are adorable! Thanks so much for posting it.
ReplyDeleteIf you're not all well soon, maybe a visit to the doc is in order. Both my daughter and hubby had lingering colds - one turned out to be walking pneumonia and the other a sinus infection. Hope yours just goes away on its own though. Best, Ruth
Thanks, Ruth. What a terrible year for illness given it's been such a mild winter. I've heard of a lot of people with pneumonia... and know stomach flu going around. I hope to avoid that one! I'm feeling really well though, finally, but thanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteWell Steve, I'm glad to know that you're feeling A-Okay now. I, too, know people with a nasty stomach bug so let's not get that! May we continue in our good health, Ruth
ReplyDeleteSuch a soothing, vicarious, ride. At first look I thought the "murmuration" to be enhanced...it was such a lovely orchestration...a gift to the mother and her girl...how amazing and miraculous that they were able to capture...and to share...this lovely moment with the world. Thanks so much for passing it along Steve.
ReplyDeleteWarmly,
Tracey

Hope you're feeling better! I got that cold after the holidays and it lingered for at least a month.
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes.....at first I could not figure out what those dang things were ( too much pot in the 70's).......flippin birds! Incredible. Glad you are feeling better:)
ReplyDeleteAn awesome experience. I felt scared for a moment as I have not seen such a flock before.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing
Helen
I've never seen such a thing. Definetly makes me want to spend more time outdoors.
ReplyDeleteSitting at the Airport waiting to fly home from Belize and watching this reminded me of the schools of flying fish we saw at Tobacco Cay. Very entertaining to see the pelicans diving into the midst of them.
